Middleham Castle
built on the site of an original Norman Motte and Bailey construction, Middleham castle was completed in the 12th Century. Many modifications were made over the years. Middleham castle is famous for being the favourite home of Richard III. Now managed by English Heritage, the castle is open throughout the year. Several special events are run throught the summer months.

The Gallops
on Middleham Low Moor (just outside the village). Each morning the numerous racehorses from stables in and around the village are exercised on ‘The Gallops’. There are fabulous views from Middleham Moor – a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding dales.

Forbidden Corner
is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, tunnels, follies and surprises created in a four acre garden. Recently voted the best childrens' attraction in Yorkshire and also "The best 20th Century European Folly". Wonderful for ‘children’ of all ages.
